Welcome to another Ultimate Coffee Date! Fall always gets so, so busy — it’s hard to believe we’re already almost a week into November!

Ultimate Coffee Date: November 2026

If we were having coffee/tea today, I’d tell you that…the person behind the micro-Jesuses is still a mystery, but whoever s/he is, I don’t think they expected to unleash all the characters/creatures that have shown up since!

Since the micro-Jesuses have shown up, we’ve also had tiny ducks, frogs, sea creatures, skulls, and Pacman ghosts popping up all over the clinic!

It’s been kinda fun walking in to see what will show up next! :]
I had a not-so-pleasant visit with one of my regular patients last week. I was definitely in the wrong in running late (very much not by choice, but my patient before him had come in with several different concerns that needed to be addressed sooner rather than later). He said some things to me that were honestly quite insulting/offensive, so I responded very shortly/set some boundaries and the whole encounter was pretty tense.
On Monday, I walked into my office to find this sitting on my desk and a thank you card from him, so I called him up after clinic to thank him + apologize for what happened last week. He apologized for what he’d said too and we were able to hash everything out + I’m feeling a lot better! :]
If we were having coffee/tea today, I’d tell you that…I’ve been in a crafty-ish mood this month! I have a bunch of cute cardboard stationery subscription boxes that I’ve been saving because they’re too cute to throw out, so I was inspired to turn them into 6-ring binders!

I found out sparkly laminating paper exists and could not resist, hehe.

I have a 6-ring hole puncher, so I’m thinking of turning this into a future sketchbook!

If we were having coffee/tea today, I’d tell you that…Soosh (Sushi) is still growing but seems to have stopped the exponential growth (finally!). A friend was giving away their giant cat exercise wheel so I swiped it to see if he’d be interested and he kinda is! (But usually only at night when I’m trying to sleep. This is an upgrade from him using me as a parkour platform while I try to sleep though!!)

If we were having coffee/tea today, I’d tell you that…tarp camping in Tahoe was a success and I did not freeze to death! (This was actually one of the coziest trips I’ve ever had!)

We were scoping out potential spots for winter camping + I might have been talking into trying out backcountry skiing. (The one and only ski lesson I ever took was back when I was 7, and while I was not altogether terrible at it back then, I was 7 and they were bunny slopes, so we’ll see what happens..)
