Fried Potatoes

This has been a component of the last two awesome weekend breakfasts, so I figured I’d document the recipe just in case I somehow forget how to make em’. ;_;

Before coming to New Jersey, I’d never actually heard of home fries (what what?)! But as it turns out, fried potatoes are also known as home/house fries, and they are deliciously awesome. They’ve made pretty wonderful additions to our breakfasts!

(Another super awesome breakfast addition isĀ Guacamole Toast. <3 Because avocados make everything better in life!)

Fried Potatoes

Ingredients:

  • potatoes, sliced
  • vegetable oil
  • salt, to taste
  • pepper, to taste
  • mushrooms, sliced
  • onions, sliced

Instructions:

  1. Add a little vegetable oil into a frying pan on high heat. Wait until oil gets hot and put in a bed of the sliced potatoes.
  2. Add salt and pepper, then throw in sliced mushrooms and onions. Cook until potatoes are just slightly crispy.

  1. Yummy! Fried potatoes are my favorite healthy snack! I think it’s time I get to whip this out in the kitchen again. I miss having this! :)
