Strawberry Almond Oatmeal Bowl

Welcome toĀ FoodieĀ Friday!Ā I’ll be linking up with Annmarie from theĀ Fit Foodie MamaĀ + Esther fromĀ Chocolate Runner Girl–this week’s theme = Vegan!

As aĀ Barleans blogger, I was provided free products to develop a recipe for Barleans #seriouslydeliciousomega. As always, all thoughts + opinions are mine and mine alone.

The Omega-3 Flax Strawberry Banana Smoothie has is creamy + delicious enough that I’d actually eat it by the spoonful (it’s like a spoonful of dessert! :O ), and all you need is a tablespoon per day!Ā It’s 3x more absorbable than regular flax oil and has 2968mg vegan ALA omega-3’s per tablespoon.

  • Non-GMO
  • Gluten-Free
  • Vegan
  • Kosher
  • No artificial flavors, colors or sweeteners
  • No added sugar

The inspiration for this recipe stems from my love of smoothie bowls. There are two places (Playa Bowls + Frutta Bowls) within walking distance from me that offer them, but much as I love em’, $8 for an oatmeal bowl is rather steep. I figured I might as well make my own for way, way cheaper!

I chose to use the Strawberry Banana Smoothie Omega Swirl for this recipe, but they also have a vegan omega-3 swirl in Pomegranate Blueberry Smoothie, Chocolate Mint, and Blackberry Smoothie!Ā You can make this on the stove, in your rice cooker, in your microwave…do whatever you want! You can swirl some of it right into the oatmeal!

As the weather’s getting a lot cooler, I’m looking forward to starting (or, well, ending, since I’m currently on night shift!) my mornings with variations of this oatmeal bowl! It’ll help me to use up all the things I have in my pantry! :]
