Fall Foliage in Vermont

A little over a year ago, I got a pair of super comfortable leggings from Janji. I took them on my adventures through Delaware whilst visiting Trish and have since been conquering the world in them.

missionpeakff Alright, I kid. (About conquering the world, anyway. But it felt like I had.)

Some time ago, I got the Women’s Ethiopia Perfect Shorts and the Women’s Ethiopia Long-Sleeve Print Tee! I’m a wimp when it comes to the cold, so you’re just going to see the top today, but the shorts will be making their appearance in several of my scheduled-into-the-future posts!

I decided to bring it along with me for a road trip (it seems I’m always going on adventures with Trish + Janji! :O!) We went on a mini-road trip up a few weeks ago to frolic in see the fall foliage in Vermont! Neither of us had ever been up there and were eager to add it to our state bingo list. :]

So many pretty colors! :]!

With this chillier fall weather, the long-sleeve shirt was perfect! It’s made of super soft material and I’ve been wearing it as a base layer. <3 I witnessed my first snowfall of the season while I was up there(?!), so layering has been my best friend lately.

You know I especially love brands that give back and/or work to make a difference–Janji has partnered with water.org to fight the water crisis in Ethiopia, and they’ve come out with a new line of clothing!

Each piece of clothing gives a year’s worth of clean water to someone in Ethiopia. <3 (+ as I’ve mentioned before, water is pretty darn important for maintaining your health!)

We stayed at an Airbnb up in Waterbury because our plan had actually been to hike up Camel’s Hump, but the weather had other ideas and it rained fairly steadily the entire day.

Come back, warm weather! We miss you!

Although somewhat saddened by this, we couldn’t be too broken up about it because we were still surrounded by gorgeous views everywhere.

…and our Airbnb was ~10 minutes from the Ben & Jerry’s factory! Our would-be hiking turned into…an adventure through Waterbury/Burlington. There will be a separate post on that later, because what is a vacation/road trip without a food tour!?

I only had my camera as my phone and I don’t think it does the fall foliage justice! I’d love to go back someday to actually go hiking, so maybe by then, I’ll even have a fancy schmancy camera to do so?! *-* One can dream!

Truth be told, I’m actually in Boston this weekend (if all went well) visiting one of my childhood friends! (I am very much an after-the-fact blogger, so you’ll be hearing about that…later.) We’ve known each other since 4th grade but have been in different time zones for about the past half-decade. Check out my instagram for real-time adventures!

  • Which piece would you want most from Janji‘s new collection?
  • What’s your favorite season? (As a west-coaster, summer is my favorite, but when I’m living on the east coast, I think fall would actually beat summer! :O!)
  • How do you feel about the term, “leaf-peeping?”
  • How many states have you been to? I’ve been to 22! (23 if you count me sleeping under some chairs at an airport in Colorado!)

    1. Yay! I’m glad! I’m starting to wimp out and pile on the layers because it’s getting cold here (at least to me; I’m sure everyone else is doing fine, haha ._.)!

  2. What a great shirt and gorgeous fall color. I have always wanted to go to Ben & Jerry’s. I sent my parents up there when they took a trip to vermont and they really enjoyed it.

  6. Love the picture of you up top! That looks extremely high – but quite exciting to try to climb up. Spring is my favorite season because my birthday is in Spring and I enjoy the plants coming back to life. But I do appreciate Fall for it’s gorgeous display of trees!

  11. Ahhhhhh! I am so jealous of all those beautiful fall colours! We don’t have as distinct seasons in the US so we only have a few trees here and there that actually turn golden and orange and red and pretty! The rest are all green :P

    1. I lived for most of my life in California so we didn’t have very drastic season changes over there. I love fall on the east coast, but I’m not so much looking forward to winter! :P
