#SweatPinkLove at Twirly Girls!

Hello hello! I feel like I haven’t written in centuries (I guess this is what happens when you schedule a bunch of posts into the future). I’ve been feeling wildly lazy lately, but my break is (quite unfortunately) drawing to a close, so my senioritis cannot prevail for much longer!

I’ve mainly been using this break to catch up with friends that I haven’t seen in a million years (alright, fine, 1-5 years) and to hang out with my family. I’m really lucky in the sense that my friends are super awesome, and despite not seeing each other very often in the past half-decade, we can still pick up where we left off as though no time has passed. <3

Since most of themĀ have progressed to real life (aka holding jobs andĀ adulting, unlike me), I’ve been spending some time living at Twirly Girls Pole Fitness. (You can check out my review of the pole studio here or on Yelp!)

In fact, I may or may not have spent the entiretyĀ of Tuesday there (no lie, I was there from 9:30 a.m. to around 11Ā p.m. partially TAing for the 4 classes we had that day + also open-poling). We did go out for lunch at one point though!

I can’t say my legs appreciated it too much.

End-of-2015 was the very first time I actually got to take a class with friends that I brought with me! (Curse those non-mutually-free schedules!)

None of my friends had poled before, and since I couldn’t find a beginner’s class that’d work while all of us were free, so I managed to set up a “Red Light Special” with Grace for us, which is basically $100 for the hour for up to 10 people. (Since we had 4, it was $25 each.) It ended up being a way better set-up for what we were looking for, and we had a blast!

That super-spiffy t-shirt that you see me wearing is from Fit Approach! (I got it for free, but as always, my opinions are mine and mine alone!)

I’ve been a Sweat Pink ambassadorĀ for almost a year now, and it’s been so much fun getting to know the other ambassadors in the community + getting to share awesome new fitness/health products with you all! :]

This is probably one of the softest shirts I own, and it also worked really well for class! :] It has a fairly relaxed fit with a baby pink burnout-type look. AĀ small (my usual size in the US) fit fine, and it had a wider neckline, so it could almost be an off-the-shoulder tee if you so desire!

Grace initially thought it was one of the newest shirts available at the studio. (We have lots of super cute workout clothes available for purchase there, so I can see how that could’ve gotten confusing! :P )

You can grab your own here, but don’t wait too long, since it’s a limited edition tee! Use the code “sweatpinklove15” to getĀ 15% off! :]

  1. I have never taken a pole class before but I would be interested in trying. I bet it’s a lot harder than it looks!!

    1. Pole is so much fun! :D There are definitely a lot of moves that are a lot harder than they look, but with practice and dedication, I like to think that they’re achievable! :]

  2. I’m still not sure about pole workouts but her pants are amazing!

  5. Farrah, you are pretty darn awesome! Pole totally intimidates me so I give you so much credit for taking it on…and getting the bruises to prove it! It seems like it takes so much strength and athleticism! You go girl!

    1. Gladly! :D! If I’m ever in the same general area as you, we’re goin’ for it! :P!

  8. I love this post, wish I had friends that would go to a Pole class with me, of course I am pretty sure my small town or even the surrounding ones would never offer one anyway. You look great in that outfit, and thanks for the recommends.

    1. I feel ya. :[ Where I was for med school, the closest studio was in the next state and ~2 hours away. I’ve been going through withdrawal. If I lived near you, I’d totally go with you! :]! I was in North Carolina for a rotation earlier last year and found an awesome studio in Huntersville! :O

  9. Love that shirt on you, Farrah! I took a pole class once, and my girlfriends and I felt so awkward the whole time hahaha

    1. Thanks, Jess! I’m sorry to hear that! It can feel awkward sometimes (I think it can definitely depend on where you’re at too)–my teacher focuses on making it really fun, so even though I had zero grace and was/still am a super-klutz, I feel kinda awesome when I’m dancing now. :]!

  10. I’ve always wanted to do one of these workouts!! It’s a lot more affordable than I thought! I love that t-shirt too! I have a Sweat Pink tank that is super soft too!!
