My Visual Reflection of 2014

December’s Pole Dancing Bloggers Association theme was “A Visual Reflection of 2014.”

Since pole is unfortunately more of a back-when-I’m-home sort of deal these days and I don’t get to go home very often, this is a visual reflection of the highlights of my year!

  2. Whoops, I just put my blog into the linky, thinking it was something else… (I missed the pole dancing aspect, somehow, I blame lack of coffee) and I don’t think I qualify, lol. So please send my apologies!
    But with regards to your year, you certainly have had quite a year of change and exploration, my dear! Love getting that stripe on your white belt. I remember testing for those and sometimes you are so nervous, sometimes you are like psssshhhhh I got this!

    1. hehe, no worries! :] I’m rarely completely awake in the mornings too! :x I will let them know! :]

      For sure! I actually lucked out in the sense that my instructor just pays attention to our progress, how much we practice, how much time we put in, and how much we’ve learned, and then the stripes and belts kinda randomly appear as a pleasant surprise. <3!

  4. That looks so fun! It had to have been an awesome year. I did Kenpo Karate when I was younger and received my black belt at 10 years old! How long have you been dancing?

    1. That’s awesome! :D I wish I’d gotten to do martial arts when I was younger! My mom thought I’d turn out all manly (…) so she wouldn’t let me, but seeing as how I turned out anyway, she should’ve just went with it, haha. Better late than never though, I guess! :P

      I discovered the studio I go to not too long before I moved across the country for school and more school (graduate + medical, har har), so I took pole dancing lessons for about 6 months back in 2011 and have been sporadically taking classes 1-2x a year (winter/summer breaks) since then. ;_; I miss it so much!

    1. Thanks you! <3 Yeahhh, that September one was when I was living in the resident lounge of the hospital, haha. I emerged one morning and alarmed one of the residents since he'd had no idea I was there. (We've since become friends, so at least he doesn't think I'm [too] crazy anymore.)

      So glad I met you through the blogging world! You provide hope that there's light at the end of my tunnel! ;P

    It’s been fun keeping up with you since we first started talking earlier this year. Let’s see how 2015 will turn up. And who knows, maybe I’ll wind up in one of your picture blogs, haha.

    1. I’m notoriously horrible at taking pictures of much of anything other than food (and cute animals), but we shall see! I’ve still got my fingers crossed that I will someday make it back to CA!
