If I’m to be absolutely honest, I’ve never actually ordered a drink at a Disney park so I am wildly unfamiliar with what they have to offer. (We would just bring our own water to save money.) The premise of this book did intrigue me though because I’ve always been interested in how they make the Dole Whip!
Part 1 talks about the different Disney parks and the types of drinks available there. (Disney parks were kept alcohol-free for 64 years!) It also goes into what equipment will be needed to recreate these drinks (a blender will be the most important tool). It also includes recipes for a bunch of different types of syrups that you’ll need to make the upcoming recipes in Part 2!
Onward to the recipes!

Lemonade & Fruity Drinks

There are lots of delicious-sounding juices, lemonades, smoothies, and the like in this chapter. You can learn how to make everything from a Lava Smoothie (raspberry/pineapple smoothie) to Moof Juice (has a subtle chipotle-pineapply syrup) or Mickey’s Bee Bop Drink (similar to a Shirley Temple but not!).

Popping Yuzu Lemonade

Slushes

Slushes tend to be harder to make at home due to lack of those huge slush mixers they have, but these recipes have been formulated while keeping this in mind!

Toydaria Swirl (a spin on the Green Milk served in Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge)

Night Blossom (a super popular drink located in Disney’s Animal Kingdom!)

Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate, & Cider

Amazing as all the previous drinks sounded/looked in this book, I’m most likely going to be trying to make a recipe in this section first. (It’s been super cold lately!) There’s Espresso Gelato Affogato, Pumpkin Pie Latte, Hot Holiday Cider, Toasted Marshmallow-Flavored Hot Cocoa… *-*

Mocktails

The Blue Bantha (caramel/coconut cookie perched on a chilled glass of blue “milk) and Zingiber Fizzie (passionfruit drink) both sound intriguing but I’m most intrigued by the Polynesian Punch! It sounds super fruity, with passionfruit juice, pineapple, guava, and orange.

Cocktails

Disney Parks were created for family-friendly fun so alcohol wasn’t sold for some time, but even Disneyland now offers some alcoholic beverages (starting in 2019)! (The executives changed up the rules since paying adults want to have fun too!)

Jedi Mind Trick

Dessert Drinks

Not gonna lie, the dessert drinks look amazingly over the top. I probably won’t try making these at home but they are definitely fun to look at! The milkshake quality will likely depend on the quality of the ice cream you choose.

Kakamora Floats – so pretty! This is a coconut pineapple float with a cake pop!

Poor Unfortunate Souls Float – it imitates the flavors of a berry pie!

Each recipe in The Disney Parks Drink Recipe Book includes a short intro, ingredients, and instructions. The back of the book has a map of the Disney parks + starred locations of where you can find the drinks!

I had among the first alcoholic beverages served at Disneyland, probably… in January 2020 at Og’s Cantina in Galaxy’s Edge (the Star Wars part of the park)! “Jedi Mind Trick” which contained: Ketel One Botanical Grapefruit and Rose Vodka, John D. Taylor’s Velvet Falernum, Bols Blue Curaçao, White Grape Juice, Lime Juice, and Grapefruit Bitters

I didn’t know the alcoholic beverage thing was so new at the time, though! It was yummy although strange to be drinking it at 11:30am (this was the only time we could get a reservation at the popular cantina). :)

    1. That’s so cool! I’ve yet to try any of the drinks there (my wallet always cries, haha). I don’t know when I’m gonna get to go back there, so I may have to try just making some of these at home! :P

  1. Okay, some of these look amazing! I dread to think how much a round of those cocktails would cost you at a Disney Resort!! But it’d be fun to attempt to make some of them…

I feel like the desserts might actually be cool if you made them fir a girly night in, or a dinner party, so other people could enjoy the effort with you…

    1. haha, right? I bet it’d be crazy expensive! Definitely would be fun for a dinner party or girls’ night though! (I also would nottt have the motivation to do this just for funsies on my own, haha.)

Whoa! Looks so decadent. Disney has become quite a spot for adults these days. Funny how things evolve. I’d be curious to go now as an adult too. Don’t think I could indulge in too many cocktails though because I still would want to go on all the rides! Ha!

    1. I definitely would still wanna go on all the rides too, hehe. I haven’t been back in a long time–tickets have gotten so expensive! :(
