Medical School Graduation

Hello hello, and welcome to Medical Mondays!Ā As you may have guessed from the title and perhaps from this month’s Ultimate Coffee Date, this is going to be a photo dump from my medical school graduation!

This is probably one of my favorite pictures from graduation day. :D!

My dad was sitting in the lobby while we were waiting for my aunt and uncle, so I plopped my hat on him and took a picture. They decided they wanted more official pictures with it, soĀ we each got a picture!

I found out the day before that I could have multiple hooders, so I asked my dean to be a part of it too! :D! She let my uncle hood me, but was on stage with me, and I got to have a guaranteed picture with both of them. <3

I did kinda terribly on my very first exam in medical school and was in lots of doubt that I’d ever get out of med school in one piece and that perhaps they’d made a mistake and I’d slipped through the cracks. Dr. Messimer talked me out of said doubts and told me I would be fine and to believe that I would do well. <3 I guess she knew what she was talking about! :D!

My parents were super super happy, and I’m so excited that they also finally got to meet Linda! :]

We got some semi-“serious” pictures in that my mom could send to her friends, and then I got to goof off for a bit. :D

The award for cutest graduation attendee ever (I’ll admit I’m all sorts of biased) goes to…my niece! She was born shortly before I started medical school so I got to go meet her when we went to North CarolinaĀ where my cousin was doing his fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery! I also got to see her again for Thanksgiving that year!

  • What were your school colors?
  • What Hogwarts house would you be in? I’d probably be a Hufflepuff. I definitely look like I’m from Slytherin in here though!

  10. Still so dang excited/happy/ecstatic/jumping for joy for you! I’m glad you get to celebrate for a while in Hawaii, too. :) I have taken Hogwarts house quizzes before and I usually get Ravenclaw.
