Gochujang Black Garlic Turkey Bowl

Welcome toĀ FoodieĀ Friday!Ā I’ll be linking up with Annmarie from theĀ Fit Foodie MamaĀ + Esther fromĀ Chocolate Runner Girl–this week’s theme =Ā Comfort Foods!

I found out earlier last week that one of my favorite kitties at Please Save A Cat passed away. :[ Hermie has been appearing on my blog probably since 2013-2014 when I first met him–I could always count on him to hang out on my shoulder whenever I was wandering around the farm or scooping poops in the barn (it kept me so warm in the winter!). He was an incredibly smart kitty and had the most intense gaze and soulful meow. I’m going to miss him so much. <3

He, like most other cats (or pets in general) always wanted to inspect my food prior to me getting a chance to eat it, and I’m pretty sure this would’ve been no exception. Since I’m still on a mission to use up the things in my apartment, I whipped this up last week! It’s a variation of the Gochujang Mayo Beef Bowl that I made half a year(?!) ago, and it’s so, so good! *-*

I had a couple packages of Minute Rice left from a previous GFAF Expo–it’s a blend of brown rice, red rice, wild rice and quinoa, so I decided to throw that in, along with a black garlic avocado oil mayo I got from Expo East last year (I still wish I could’ve gone this year!). If you want to intensify the magic that is the black garlic flavor, make sure you check out last week’s post on how to save money by making your own black garlic!
