Ultimate Coffee Date: January 2016

Hello, hello, and welcome to the first Ultimate Coffee Date of the new year! :D!

If we were having coffee/tea today, I’d tell you that…I was randomly roped into being a model for a charity fashion show/Asian dance party for New Year’s Eve!

The last (and only other) time I was in a charity fashion show was approximately one decade ago. I tripped on the runway and almost tore up the red paper that served as the red carpet…

…a scout called my house the next day to see if I’d be interested in auditioning for some kind of modeling gig.

Given my lovely show of klutzdom the night before, I’m going to have to deduce that they must have just liked my spunk, aka how I reacted to almost falling flat on my face.

In any case, one of my mom’s friends was putting together the event and needed people. When the hecks would I ever have the opportunity to model Qing dynasty clothing again, amirite?

So that’s how this happened!

If we were having coffee/tea today, I’d tell you that…I won Gigi’s Earth Brands Footwear giveaway a couple months ago, and oh em eff gee, I am in love with my Pepperidge boots! *-* I’ve basically been wearing them every day since I’ve been back.

They are super super comfortable, and for every pair that you buy, they also plant a tree! :] I’m very tempted to buy a couple other pairs of boots from them, but cannot currently justify this. (Soon…)

If we were having coffee/tea today, I’d tell you that…this break has been awesome. <3 I hadn’t had a vacation or been home to see my family or friends in over a year, so to say that I’d missed them would be the understatement of the year. I’ve been packing every day with spending time with + catching up with friends and family. <3

If we were having coffee/tea today, I’d tell you that…aside from missing my friends and family, I’ve also super-super missed my cat (Ninja)! She turned 10 this year! Sometimes we facetime. (She’s gotten pretty ginormous since I first got her. ._.)
