OZ Naturals Ultra Ageless Eye Creme

I recently had the opportunity to try out theĀ OZ Naturals Ultra Ageless Eye Creme!

I’ve been using this eye cream for the past 2 weeks, and it can be used as an all-over face treatment, but since the tube contains just 1 fluid ounce and is $20 a pop, I like to just save it for under the eyes, as there’s less ground to cover, so to speak.

That being said, a little does go a long way. I use it at night after I’ve washed my face and applied my usual facial moisturizer (which is currently Celestial, from LUSH). I think this tube could probably last meĀ at least 2-3 months, which is pretty awesome. It’s unscented, and I also like that it comes in a little tube vs. a pot, since it’s more hygienic!

I put a tiny pea-sized amount on my ring finger and apply it gently underneath my eyes. (If you’re interested, here are some tips on the do’s and don’ts of applying eye cream.)

While I thankfully haven’t really noticed any wrinkles yet, life as a medical student makes chronic sleep deprivation an expected-but-still-sad reality. I average about 5-6 hours per night, and sometimes get to catch up on weekends. I think it’s really moisturizing, and as far as I can tell, yay for no puffiness!

The ingredients include:

  • Astaxanthin,Ā which is a keto-carotenoid with potent antioxidant activity as well as anti-inflammatory properties that help to diminish the rate of aging
  • Algae extract, which provides hydration to the skin (more scientific explanation of algae skin benefits can be found here)
  • Carrot root extract, whichĀ adds moisture to the skin + has some antioxidantĀ activity
  • Caffeine, whichĀ constricts small blood vessels + reduces inflammation, so itĀ helps to minimize dark circles + sagging skin underneath the eye
  • Paullinia cupana extract (also contains caffeine)

So is this something I’d repurchase after I run out? I think I honestly might!Ā Eye creams can be beyond ridiculously expensive, but $20 is reallyĀ affordable (particularly after having just returned from Santana Row), especially if this really does end up lasting me a couple months.

    1. For serious! The ones that cost $60+ make my wallet cry. I can’t justify spending that much on an eye cream (especially if I’m not sure it’ll even do anything)!

  6. I need some good eye cream. I am always willing to try a new product out.

    1. Me too! I really need to stop though–somewhere back in the day, I put myself on a ban and told myself I wasn’t going to buy/get any more skin care products until I finished off all the stuff I already had…

  10. I’ve been using eye cream pretty regularly for maybe 6 months now, and it’s hard to see if it’s making a difference because I’m in my mid-20’s with only a few wrinkles, haha!
Now…if there was a cream to reverse gray hairs…

    1. haha, I feel ya, but I like to think it’s doing something + is definitely better than nothing! I’m all about more moisturizing products in the winter though, so this is perfect! <3
