#Choctoberfest

Choctoberfest-2015-1

I’m super excited because it’s finally October 5, which marks the start of #Choctoberfest! :D

#Choctoberfest is a virtual event put together by The PinterTest Kitchen. Bloggers from around the world will be posting their favorite chocolate recipes, and you’ll get a chance to win some awesome prizes. What’s not to love?

#Choctoberfest would not be possible without our sponsors, starting with our 2015 Gold Sponsor, Imperial Sugar. Imperial Sugar has been a trusted name in family kitchens since 1843. Their sugar products and sweeteners are made from non-GMO cane sugar and ensure consistently delicious results.

As a healthy living lifestyle blogger, I feel like I do need to mention that it’s healthierĀ to follow anĀ “everything in moderation” or 80/20 principle–don’t get too crazy with self-restriction though! Allow for some sweet indulgences occasionally if you have a sweet tooth!. We’ll be using Imperial Sugar whenever we use sugar in our recipes this week, and can’t wait to share the sweetness with you!

Connect with Imperial Sugar on Social Media!

PinterestĀ |Ā FacebookĀ |Ā InstagramĀ |Ā Twitter

Make sure you visit their recipe sectionĀ for some sweet inspiration, and you can also find coupons if you want to try out Imperial Sugar yourself.

Imperial Sugar +Ā our other sponsors have banded together to contribute some awesome prizes for our #Choctoberfest giveaway! Entering is simple – just click below to follow us on Pinterest. Here’s what you could win:

As a resident cat lady, it is hopefully obvious that I am big on animal rescue. :]! We have a nonprofit sponsor this year – Rescue Chocolate! They make vegan chocolate treats and 100% of their proceeds are donated to animal shelters. <3!!!

Enter now to win the #Choctoberfest prize. Hurry, because we’re picking the winner on October 12 at 8:00 AM, so if you don’t sign up before then, you’ll miss your chance!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

One of the perks to living in Lewisburg for two years was the fact that every second-ish week of April, they’d have a Chocolate Festival where all the local businesses downtown would make chocolate-y creations and we’d get tickets to sample all the deliciousness!
