5 Things To Include In Your LOR Packet

Happy Monday, and welcome to Medical Mondays! This is a continuation of last week’s post on securing recommendation letters! :]

I started putting together “LOR packets” in college, and I’ve kinda just gone with it ever since then, because they seem to work out rather well!

Aside from the obvious necessary forms from the programs/institutions …

5 Tips For Securing Recommendation Letters

Happy Monday, and welcome to Medical Mondays! While this isn’t necessarily a medicine/health-specific topic, it’s rather pertinent to my current life, and possibly a lot of your lives as well, so we’re goin’ with it!

I’ve been in school for a long, long time (technically in 21st grade), and have definitely filled out my fair …

Choosing A Base Site (Part 1)

They tried, they really did, but choosing a base site …

The Healthy Mind Cookbook

Way back in my pre-clinical years (which was actually last experienced less than a year ago), my school decided to use our class to experiment with a curriculum change. We moved into a systems-based approach, and although the thought process behind it was great…as with most new things, it was/is not without …

“after boards, i’ll…”

It seems so far away. So, so far away. Just one more week left and I will hopefully be done with this exam forever. I took a practice half-exam yesterday and it was a terrible, terrible time. (I am the poster child for all the terrible habits/things you should not have/do while test-taking.) But I …

Ultimate Coffee Date: May 2014

I noticed this linkup from Laura and found out more about it (hosted by other fellow GGS ambassadors–Nikki, Jill & Lynda); it seems like a really fun way to get to know other bloggers out there and for you to get to know a little more about me (if you so choose). :]

I hope …

easter sunday

I realize that Easter was actually on the 20th of April, but since I write everything so far into the future (yes, I really am that kind of type A), most of the posts that I write in real-time end up getting posted much later. Bear with me! :O Sometimes, I even manage to make …

fitness goals (revisited)

Tis a beautiful spring day on the farm! (Please be here to stay, spring. I’m about done with your random end-April snowstorms.) I’m not much of a morning person, but have been dutifully trying to turn myself into one because it lets me get more done each day.

It’s been almost 1.5 years since …

an end to year 2

I’ve finished my last pre-clinical exam (aka last textbook-studying exam) ever!!!

19 years of school after 2 years of preschool (my brother refused to go without me) and a year of kindegarten.

This doesn’t feel real.

Now I just need to pass boards! (Please be kind.)

Don't be shellfish…

Returning Home From the Dominican Republic

I took a picture of every meal I had here. 😀 (I figured everyone else would have the people + scenery parts covered.) It is my hope that I will one day be able to recreate healthier version of all of em’. :] This is an assortment of some of em’! I love colorful foods. …
