Welcome to another Travel Tuesday! I’d love to tell you that we made it all the way to the top of Mount Diablo for this hike, but…we were running on rather limited time, (I think two of us had somewhere to be by noon), didn’t get started til around 9 a.m., and may have veered off …

…This is exactly what it sounds like. Part of Day 3 of my Redwoods Car Camping trip involved visiting the Big Tree Area! (Check out Day 1’s 8-mile hike along the Hidden Beach section of the Coastal Trail, and Day 2’s 12-mile hike through Miner’s Ridge + James Irvine Loop!)

I actually went on this trip 6 years ago. Yes, years. Six of em’. Twas a pre-graduation trip to myself before I graduated from Davis, so I decided to go on the Redwoods Car Camping trip over Memorial Day Weekend with Outdoor Adventures (the outdoorsy club at my school)!

I’d never tried surfing before, so I figured…what better place to learn than in Hawai’i?
I do most of my “travel research” on Yelp because I tend to plan my travels around food, so after a bit of digging around, I found amazing reviews for the Hawaii Surf Guru, otherwise known as Kimo.

While I was in Hawai’i, I spent the weekend with a college friend I used to dance with in Na Keiki O’ Hawai’i. I was originally going to hike the Pali Puka trail with her, butttt we opted for a lazy beach day instead!
(If you missed my vacationing on the cheap in Oahu post, my …

In case you didn’t catch my last two Travel Tuesdays, I wrote about how to vacation on the cheap in Oahu and virtually dragged you guys on my hike up the Diamond Head Summit Trail!
As you all probably know by now, I love and adore food, so this week, we’re going on a food …
