Teriyaki Salmon

As it turns out, my reputation as the resident food receptacle holds true here as well. My friend just left the library on her way to go wrap presents for one of the clubs she’s in and stopped by the desk I was at to preface with…”I know this is kinda random, but…would you mind finishing these for me?”

Free crackers + peanuts it is! (Our librarian also made us banana walnut bread. <3 )

Anyway, one of my friends back home gave me a Foreman Grill for my birthday (thanks, Flo! :D ), and a couple weeks ago, I finally broke it out and made something with it! I’m pretty wildly biased when it comes to salmon (which I got on sale! <3), so I think it turned out really well. It took very, very little time, and was pretty freaking easy. And healthy! In short, I think you should try it.

The measurements are approximate. Feel free to add a little more, because that’s probably what I did. >_>

Teriyaki Salmon

Teriyaki Salmon

Ingredients:
-1 tsp sesame oil
-1 tsp soy sauce
-a sprinkle of brown sugar
-2 tsp lemon juice
-1/4 tsp garlic powder (you could mince some too, but I was too lazy; don’t judge me)
-1/4 tsp ground ginger (again, you could use fresh, but I don’t have any)

Instructions:
1) (I used this for 1 6 oz piece of salmon.) Mix marinade together and soak the salmon in it for 15 minutes.
2) Heat Foreman grill and place fish on the grill. Sear for ~7 minutes on both sides. (Don’t leave it unattend just in case! :O )
3) Serve with stuff! (I chose to eat it with a side of brown rice and arugula.)
