#SweatPink!

Remember how I was talking about how much I loved the fitness/blogging community? :D

Well, I liked the camaraderie so much that I applied for another ambassadorship not so long ago. :D I’d like to draw some attention to that shiny & SUPAH-SPIFFY new badge hangin’ out on my sidebar…I am proud to say that I’m now aĀ #SweatPink Ambassador as well! :D

TheĀ #SweatPink Ambassador community was built by Jamie & Alyse is a place for enthusiastic, positive, and inspirational people to connect and support each other in reaching their goals around health, fitness, life…and more. Since the start of this year has been charged with so many awesome goals, ideas and plans, how perfect is it that this is a place where we come together and celebrate what we have and reach for even more?I’m all for self-love and appreciation, and I also believe there’s gotta be a balance between that and striving for continual self-improvement.

I love that Sweat Pink promotes assertiveness, strength and ambition as important qualities for us to keep kickin’ butt at what we’re doing while supporting those around us who are also working on their own dreams. <3

Cue me doin’ my happy dance!

For the record, I had no idea this picture was being taken.

As you may perhaps have noticed, my happy dance is fairly contained because my 7-year-old self accidentally hit someone in the face whilst dancing with joy. TRUE STORY. ._.

I was completely horrified and apologized profusely, but the lady just glared at me and stormed away. :'(

Join us for the #NoExcuses #SweatPink challenge! I don’t know about you, but 99.5% of the patients I worked with have had gained at least several pounds and were sporting higher cholesterol, blood pressures, and HbA1C’s* after the holidays. I myself have been so cold that I basically live curled up next to my new best friend, the space heater, and my super-awesome foster kitty.

*(The 3-month marker for your blood glucose levels–diabetes ain’t fun, so please take care of yourselves!)

I’m a total wimp when it comes to the cold. (I blame my California roots.) I also took a break from working out last week in order to buckle down on studying for my end-rotation exam (full of all sorts of fun, I know).

But the excuses are over!

My hospital’s gym and the gym that I go to for TKD/BJJ have both completely revamped their entire schedules, and I’m excited to see how many classes I can cram into my schedule before I collapse into a puddle and die! :D! (Yeah, Farrah, that’s the spirit! <3)

I am off to start my Pediatrics rotation on Monday, and I’d like to think that a little extra fitness in my life will hopefully help to ward off the inevitable colds and other loveliness that I will get from the tiny human petri dishes kids I’ll be working with next week! :O

For $5, you can join me for the No Excuses SweatPink Challenge! :D

Each Sunday, you’ll get an email with weekly prompts including workouts and healthy snack ideas. To keep each other accountable, share what you’re doing all across social media with the hashtags, #NoExcuses and #SweatPink, and you’ll be entered for a chance to win all sorts of weekly prizes! :]

    1. Ahh! It’s good that it’s at least it’s pre- instead of full-on diabetes though! If she watches her diet closely and cuts out unnecessary sugars + starts exercising, she might not even have to go on medication! :]

  3. Taking care of myself and being healthier after being diagnosed with gestational diabetes during my pregnancy and being told I potentially have pre-diabetes is my goal for the new year! So thanks for sharing this! And congrats on becoming a sweat pink ambassador too! :)

    1. Many thanks! <3 That's definitely a great goal to have! :] Taking care of yourself and focusing on being healthier should really help with preventing you from going from a pre-diabetic state to having diabetes! I'll be rooting for you! :D

  4. Congrats on your Ambassador-ship (Is that even a word? Probably not.)! It’s always good to be a part of a community that has the same goals as you! I’m sure you’re going to do awesome!

  7. Woohoo! Big hug to you on your Sweat Pink Ambassadorship! That is awesome news, Farrah. And I’d be doing a *probably ridiculous looking* happy dance as well. Heck, I’m doing one for you right now. ;)

“basically live curled up next to my new best friend, the space heater, and my super-awesome foster kitty.” Now that sounds like my general disposition and solution towards the cold right now. I’m SUCH a wimp with the cold. But to be fair, I also got diagnosed with Raynaud’s disease on my hands this year as well…which is only made much worse by being exposed to any cold. So I have the right to complain! Hence why I also want to move South. Like to Austin, TX. Fingers crossed!

Same here! ;_; And oh hell, Raynaud’s definitely does not help with the cold situation. :[ I definitely agree with you that a warmer climate would be an awesome solution! ;P Keepin’ my limbs crossed for you as well! :D
