Pineapple Peach Ginger Mocktail

Cocktails and Mocktails for May Celebrations:Ā Showers and celebrations with friends abound this time of year. Show us your healthy, colorful drink concoctions for festivities like bridal showers and graduation celebrations.

So, ultra-fun fact! I can’t drink alcohol. Check out the last paragraph of my Medical Mondays post on Alcohol Abuse for an explanation! (In case you’re wondering, no, I have never had a drinking problem–unless you count being unable to metabolize/process it correctly a problem, in which case I definitely do. Thankfully, it’s not too much of a loss because I’ve never really had the actual desire to drink alcohol–I’d rather have food!)

I actually found a Passionfruit Apple Cider in Scotland last month that my friend and I split and it was super tasty! …But about an hour after I had less than half the bottle (4% alcoholic content ftw), I started getting palpitations, shortness of breath, and really weird visual hallucinations(?). It made for an interesting time when I was trying to fall asleep.

So we’re gonna go with a mocktail! ;P

Someday, I’ll recreate a non-alcoholic version of that super delicious cider, but for now, you get a variant by way of this Pineapple Peach Ginger Mocktail! I happened upon 99-cent pineapples(!?) at Aldi and had a bunch of cute pineapple accessories, so it had to be done. The ginger ale is courtesy of my hospital’s common room area by the call rooms. ;]

I used frozen pineapples because I don’t have ice in my apartment, so it gave the drink a thicker consistency whilst concurrently chilling it so I wouldn’t need the ice.Ā You can get the recipe for the ginger syrup in my Ginger Tea Latte post!

  • What’s your favorite non-alcoholic beverage?Ā Feel free to tell me your favorite alcoholic one too! :O My friend was a bartender and used to try to figure out concoctions to drinks that I would like/be able to tolerate but eventually just ended up giving me the equivalent of just juice.
  • Are you liking all the pineapple accessories?Ā I’ve amassed quite a collection lately thanks to the Target dollar section… :D…
