Homemade Kettle Corn

Welcome to our weekly Foodie Friday link up! I’m linking up with Annmarie from the Fit Foodie Mama + Esther from Chocolate Runner Girl to create awesome healthy recipes each week! This week’s theme = Cookout because it’s still #CookoutWeek! (Aka double-linkup today! Please only link up with Foodie Friday though if you’re not participating in #CookoutWeek!)

Disclaimer: I was provided free products to develop recipes for #CookoutWeek. As always, all thoughts + opinions are mine and mine alone.

If you’re like me and happen to love popcorn as a snack, you’ll be pretty happy about this recipe. And also the discovery of this hot air popcorn popper. :O I won a giveaway from Samantha a little while ago and have been looking for all the excuses ever to make more popcorn. This popcorn maker is the shiz! There’s even a butter melter at the top to make life even easier, haha. (I’ll include instructions for stove-top popcorn too though!)

I’ve talked about my love for Barlean’s butter-flavored coconut oil for a while now..and I’m back again with another recipe! I’ve been wanting to make my own kettle corn at home for ages, and figured it was finally time! :P Yay for a vegan recipe for homemade kettle corn?!

Beware–we finished this in one sitting not even 30 minutes into Doctor Strange. >_> They’re just on the slight side of addicting. :D…

  1. I’m a huge popcorn fan so this recipe is right up my alley! I’ve also been looking for a new air popper since ours fizzled out – I’m going to look up this one!

  3. Yum! We are big popcorn eaters in this house. The one advantage of our sucky (new) microwave is that I’ve got my husband making fresh popcorn with an air popper instead of the microwave stuff.

  23. Nice post,I love it ❤

  24. I’m not gonna lie, popcorn is my favorite snack, ever! For me, though, it’s hard to improve on good old salty and buttery popcorn. We had an air popper when we lived in the USA and it was my all-time favorite appliance. Now we use the stove which is slightly less foolproof when it comes to burned kernels, haha!

    1. haha, that’s true!! I’ve definitely had less success with stovetop but that was my standard before this popper came into my life! :P

  25. Yum yum yum!

  27. Our motto was there’s always room for popcorn. We could totally stuff ourselves at an all you can eat and order a jumbo popcorn bucket at the movies that night. I’m definitely trying this.

    1. hahaha, I have that motto for ice cream, but I’m pretty sure it could encompass popcorn as well! :P

  28. Popcorn is one of my favorite snacks! Most of the time I just use flavacol on it – that orange salt stuff that goes on movie theater popcorn.

  29. Oh gosh, yum! I LOVE popcorn – definitely one of my favorite snacks. And kettle corn really is awesome.
