Summer Sorbet

Welcome to our weekly Foodie Friday link up! I’m linking up with Annmarie from the Fit Foodie Mama, Emily from Whatever Floats Your Oats, Esther from Chocolate Runner Girl, and Cassandra from Powered By Bling, to create awesome healthy recipes each week!

(I’m running two giveaways right now, so I think you should check them out (Freekeh + Balance Bars!)!

This week’s theme = Peaches, because August is National Peach Month! Make sure you hop around to check out all the amazing recipes in this link up and feel free to add your recipes as well!

You know what’s really awesome? Being able to concoct awesomely delicious recipes whilst using stuff up in your kitchen! (Guess who wrote this post back in May? Time-traveling ftw!)

I was on a very-determined mission to use up everything in my apartment before buying food again. I had wayyyy more massively freezer-burned frozen fruit (don’tjudgeme) than I’d care to admit to the public, so I started throwing them together to make “smoothies” in the morning.

Except said frozen fruit was majorly frozen, so it took on the consistency of sorbet, and that’s what I’m goin’ with!

You can top this with whatever the hecks you want, but I decided to keep it simple with just hemp hearts. :]

Summer Sorbet

  • 1/2 frozen banana
  • 1/8 – 1/4 cup pomegranate juice concentrate
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • sprinkle of hemp hearts

Instructions:

  1. Add all the frozen fruit + juices into a blender and blend to desired consistency!
  2. Top with hemp hearts!

I’ll stop yelling. <3

You can also try this 5-Ingredient No-Bake Peach Crumble. You’re welcome.

  6. Loving the peaches in hat delicious treat! I have been eating lots of peaches and plums here surprisingly because even though they aren’t grown in the UK, one of he supermarkets keeps putting them in sale in baskets of 4-5 for only 70 pence (about $ 1.05), so basically a lovely peach for a Quarter!
