cruises

I mentioned this very briefly back in August, but…I’m going on a cruise! (No way!) There are definite times where I question my judgement–this being one of them–but it’s really, really hard to turn down family vacations.

For instance, 3 years ago, when my parents found an amazing deal for a 2-week cruise through the Mediterranean where [if I went] I’d get to go to Greece, Turkey, Malta, Egypt, Spain, Germany…

Now tell me, how do I say no to that?

I was supposed to be studying for my MCAT at the time, so I just piled my books into my suitcase and went on my way. This time, I’m in the middle of rotations, and very optimistically hoping that I won’t regret this when boards season (round 2) comes along again. We shall see.

I’m super excited because one of the destinations happens to be Costa Rica! I’ve heard amazing things and have always wanted to go, which is pretty much why I rerouted my vacation plans to this early in the year instead of, y’know, in May or June, so I could use that time to study for boards. (Please don’t regret this, Farrah. :[ )

Sheesh, this is probably the shortest my hair’s been in about a decade! :O (This picture was probably from a decade ago.)

My brother and I have grand plans to eat our worth within the first 2 days, work out a ton, and explore the world. We’re big on getting our money’s worth. :O Fingers crossed that I don’t end up with swine flu or Norovirus this time around.

With that said, if I don’t respond for a while, I’m probably having an eating contest with my brother while my mom looks on disapprovingly/jokes with the waiter about how he must be glad he’s not the one responsible for feeding me and my dad makes comments about how I’m the farthest thing from ladylike and how am I ever going to find anyone who’ll want me!? :O

This blog will probably still magically update itself because I write everything about 1-2 months into the future. Just don’t take it personally if I don’t respond for a bit. :P Take care, everyone!
