Crockpot Honey Sriracha Chicken

Welcome to our weekly Foodie Friday link up! I’m linking up with Annmarie from the Fit Foodie Mama, Esther from Chocolate Runner Girl + Jess from Hello To Fit to create awesome healthy recipes each week! This week’s theme = Pinterest Curiosities!

I’ve always been a fan of easy/quick/healthy recipes, but ever since residency started, this has only compounded. My rice cooker, blender, and crockpot are probably what I’d call “the big guns” in terms of kitchen contraptions that I use most often. They make my life so much more convenient!

This recipe mostly came into being because they were all ingredients that I had an excess of. As I did all throughout med school, I’ve been continuing my weekend meal prepping so my lunches throughout the week have been fairly simple–brown rice or quinoa with steamed veggies (thanks, rice cooker) and…protein, which is where this recipe comes in! 😀

(In this case, I included apple slices just because I had lots left from apple picking. :] You can pair this with whatever greens you happen to have!)
