Apple Turnovers

Welcome to our weekly Foodie Friday link up! I’m linking up with Annmarie from the Fit Foodie Mama, Esther from Chocolate Runner Girl + Jess from Hello To Fit to create awesome healthy recipes each week! This week’s theme = Holiday Baking!

I know I’ve had a lot of apple recipes over the last couple months (e.g. Apple Cider Doughnuts), but let’s face it–it’s one of my favorite fruits and I went apple picking twice. These recipes were borne outta necessity!

I found lots of beautiful apples. <3 (There was a 10 lb. minimum.)

During my second apple picking adventure this year, Trish and I may or may not have become donuts…

We stopped by the farm store at Milburn Orchards to look at all the fall produce…

…And also to pick up apple cider donuts and apple cider. <3

If you’re wondering why my fingers look like I may have killed someone, it’s because we went raspberry picking as well! This was back in late-ish September, har har har.

Twas an awesome time! We also went to Longwood Gardens to explore since I’d never been there before–I’ll have a travel post on that at some point, but it’s going to take a while since I have travel posts scheduled up through June 2017 at the moment!!

Then we went back to Trish’s apartment afterward to start making food!
