2017 GFAF Expo

I’m excited to announce that I’m going to be an official blog ambassador for the GFAF Expo (GFAF = Gluten Free & Allergen Friendly) this year! If you recall, I got to meet Rebecca from Strength and Sunshine at last year’s expo and we had a lot of fun! :]

2017 GFAF Expo

The GFAF Expo is the largest gluten-free + allergen-friendly event in the country–if you’re looking for specialty products or happen to beĀ trying to learn how to prepare food to meet your dietary needs, this isĀ an awesome event to check out!Ā Their mission is to meet the needs of the celiac community, those with gluten + food sensitivities, auto-immune/inflammatory diseases, and autism.

TheĀ GFAF Expo kicks off in Secaucus, NJ on October 14-15, from 10am-4pm on Saturday and 10am-3pm on Sunday! You can also find them at the following locations later on this + next year!

  • October 28-29, 2017 – Dallas, TX
  • November 18-19, 2017 – San Mateo, CA
  • February 10-11, 2018 – San Diego, CA
  • April 7-8, 2018 – Schaumburg, IL
  • April 21-22, 2018 – Denver, CO
  • May 19-20, 2018 – Atlanta, GA
  • June 23-24, 2018 – Glendale, AZ
  • July 21-22, 2018 – Worcester, MA

There will be over 100 different vendors (good thing I finally have business cards to give away ;P ) with all kinds of samples, snacks, coupons, discounted products and goodies, as well as educational sessions on a variety of different topics, including gluten-free living/cooking + digestive health!

2017 GFAF Expo

I’m actually scheduled to work a 24-hour shift on October 14, and IĀ still plan on attending, so I hope that’s a testament to how excited I am for this event, haha. Last year’s was the first food-related Expo I’d ever attended and it was awesome getting to meet new people + discover so many different companies/brands!

Case in point, I don’t have any major food insensitivities/allergies other than a possible mild(?) lactose intolerance, but given my interest in nutrition + preventive medicine, finding out about all the available products out there for my patients with food insensitivities/allergies is a definite plus!
