11 Things You Didn’t Know

As a blogger (or just general human being), I’m sure we’re all too familiar with the comparison game. Social media provides us with only a glimpse of what we choose to share, so we decided to choose a day to share something about ourselves beyond what we’d normally talk about.

I usually share food and travel photos on my instagram, but I figured I’d open it up today–I was tagged by Linda @ The Fitty, so I figured I’d start off with those and branch off! If there’s anything you’ve always/ever wanted to know about me, ask away!

11 Things You Didn’t Know About Me

Would you rather live as a Cow’s Udder or a Fart Air Cleaner?
I guess I’d go with the cow’s udder–at least it’d be nice and warm? Cows are pretty cool. (+ after all, I went to UC Davis! <3 )

Do you believe in Karma?
I like to think that it exists, but I’ve seen terrible things happening to great people and horrible people getting away with all kinds of things, so who really knows?

Share the last selfie you took!
11 thingsName a guilty pleasure.
Lately, it’s been binge-watching Netflix. My friend left his second monitor here and it’s been kinda nice as background noise while I work on other things. I finished catching up on the 4th season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. over the weekend…wonder what’ll be next!?

If you were a restaurant, what restaurant would you be?
Not gonna lie–I’d sell poke bowls so I could eat them all day long.

Either that or acai bowls. <3

What’s one thing you have still yet to accomplish this year that you WILL accomplish?
Ummm, passing the last of one part of my licensing exams to become a physician!? My exam date is in about a month (9/11)!

Speaking of that, I may progressively disappear from this blog as it gets closer to that date (we shall see) because my future is calling–please send good thoughts!

Cloudy weather, or sunny weather?
Definitely sunny! I’m from California and no matter where I go, that’ll always be home for me. I’d make an exception for Hawai’i though. Sunny skies tend to bring my spirits up. :]

itinerary for oahu, hawaii

One thing that everyone seems to love but you’re not that into.
[Having] Kids and babies. (I’m okay with well-behaved ones, but…the prospect of having to take care of them? Entirely different story. I think my parents are kinda sad about this.

First memory that comes to mind when I say…BEACH?
I actually just went to the beach over the weekend, so that’s the first thought that came into my mind! We played in the waves til it got too cold and then I took a nap in the sand. Tis actually the second time I’ve gone in the past two weekends (last week was to catch up with a friend from medical school–we brought things to study, because some things never change, haha).

What’s a day in your life look like from hour to hour?
My day-to-day life tends to change every couple weeks, so I’m going to have to direct you to my “Day in the Life” posts! :O

Show or video you’re watching:
Just finished Agents of SHIELD on Netflix and currently also following Game of Thrones. (I still have a couple seasons of Supernatural to follow up on!)

I also recently started watching a whole ton of Wong Fu Productions‘ videos. I don’t ever watch reality TV, but if Asian Bachelorette were a thing, I totally would just for the comedic gold, hahaha.

What exactly is a poke bowl? What’s the difference between that and a salad or Buddha bowl?

I like to think of it as deconstructed sushi in a bowl, but sometimes even more awesome than that. :D…

Loved reading your responses! I’m also one to like having background noise as I do things, but it has to be a mindless show like friends otherwise it’s too hard to concentrate on two tasks at a time if I’m also following an interesting but intense plotline.

Goodluck on your exam! Seriously how long will you be gone?

Im also not that into having kids. I have way too many other things that take up my time!

And i think you should tag at least 2 other bloggers 🙂

Thanks! I’m definitely with you there–if it’s a show that requires a lot of concentration/that I follow super-closely (e.g. Game of Thrones), there’s no way I can be doing anything else while watching it!

      I’m still going to be around, but just super swamped til then. Not that that’s anything out of the ordinary, hahaha. ;_;

Agreed! I have an endless list of things I’d rather be doing with my time, haha. 😛

Good luck on your exam!! You’re going to crush it. Recommendations on Netflix that I’ve enjoyed recently:
-Embarrassing bodies: you might enjoy this as a med student. It’s interesting!
-Okja: great, funny, emotional movie with lots of well-known actors
-To the Bone: A good movie about anorexia nervosa with some well-known actors
-Castlevania: short but good anime show!

Karma… sometimes it is slow as h***, but it usually works.

Your exams are on 9/11, now you’d better make that a date to remember good things! Good luck, I’ll be thinking of you! ??

One thing that everyone seems to love but you’re not that into happens to be the beach for me, here’s why:

    1. Farrah

I like to think so! Emphasis on the slow part sometimes, hahaha.

Definitely agreed! I’ll be working on doing well that day! Thanks so much for your good thoughts!

I feel ya on the reasons why you don’t like the beach–I hate crowds and the trash, but I do like the sunny weather and playing in the ocean! 😛
